So my book "tour" is officially underway. I say "tour" because with a few exceptions I won't be traveling out beyond my native Massachusetts and my adopted home state of Rhode Island. That being said, the book has traveled were I cannot. I've gotten a few messages via twitter and facebook from people who have found and liked the book. I can't do justice to how excited I get when that happens. People I don't know, who I will never meet and who I have no way of informing about the book beyond them finding it their local book store are picking it up. It's an awesome feeling and I'm just psyched that I haven't missed the mark as far as they're concerned. They laugh and cringe with me at the shared experience of growing up geek. Mission accomplished!
Having checked my old stomping grounds off the list of stops, I look forward to hanging out, signing books and getting appropriately boozed up at one of my local watering holes, Julian's Restaurant. The manager, who's been super supportive of this event, has been kind enough to allow me to squat on the restaurant's Death Star table (it's what it sounds like--a table painted like the Death Star) for a while before we screen The Empire Strikes Back. Anyone in the area should swing by (check the events link up at the top of the page). And just for our hometown bash, my buddy and character from the book, Brian Kaminske did up this badass poster:

Sick? Damn right!
Between now and the end of November I have eight more events. Hopefully you all can make it to one of them. I'll be updating the list soon and check back here for a lengthy diatribe about why my event on October 4 in Cambridge is gonna rock all of our world's.
